Polyamide 6

Polyamide 6 (PA 6) is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic with balanced mechanical properties. The material is characterized by good damping and wear properties. Due to its properties, PA 6 is a universal material for construction and maintenance.

Dimensional changes due to water absorption must always be taken into account when designing machine elements.

Main features

  • balanced mechanical properties
  • impact resistant, in the cold down to - 40°C
  • heat resistance up to 70°C (cast up to 80°C)

The types listed below are available as standard. Further special types and color variants are available on request, usually only with minimum quantities.
